The article examines the main manifestations (forms) and ideas (values) of the epic folklore of Issetians and other peoples of Caucasus, and also “Nartiade” as its key epic. Based on the analysis of the given folklore source, some aspects of ethnic-cultural connections of the Caucasus region with other civilizations, including the Turkic world, have been indicated.
